Year 4 – GES (Geography, English, Science) Website Reveal

Over the past two Terms, Year 4 students have been engaged in an integrated unit of study combining Geography, English, Science and Digital Technology. They explored the life cycle of different plants and animals, studied continents and biomes and learned how to write information reports and persuasive texts.

To bring their learning to life, students used Canva to design stunning websites that showcased their knowledge and creativity.

Last Thursday, families were invited to a special event where students proudly presented their websites which included persuasive messages to protect endangered biomes and fascinating facts about continents and animals in beautifully presented reports. The students also had a chance to work on developing their coding skills using software, Scratch.

Bruce Home, Head of Year 4, said, "The buzz in the air as family members finally saw the children’s work was amazing. When we sit back and reflect that the learners are still nine and ten years old, it is exceptionally impressive to see what they have created and the way they showcased their learning. Well done Year 4!"
