We are pleased to announce our Sport, Extra Curricular Activities (ECA), and Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) programs for Term 3, 2025, available to all students from Prep to Year 12.
Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) - Additional before and after school activities that align and complement the school values and incur extra charges.
Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) - Additional activities that take place outside of the classroom but compliment academic learning from the classroom and do not incur any extra charges (materials costs may be required).
Kangaroo’s & Joey’s Sport - Aligns with ECA’s and includes social sports clubs and representative sports team training, with internal and external coaches. These all incur extra charges.
Our Sport, ECA & CCA enrolment operates on a preference system (as opposed to a “first come, first served” approach), which facilitates a higher overall participation rate. Allocation by preference helps to ensure that all students have a better opportunity to participate in ECAs with a more equitable spread. There is no limit to the number of ECAs you choose, but as it is a preference system (per each day), there is no guarantee that students will get their choices. However, we hope that all students will get at least one of their choices.
Enrolment Dates
A kind reminder that the online system of enrolment, SchoolsBuddy, will be today at 2:30 pm on Wednesday 25 June and will close at 11:59 pm on Tuesday 29 July 2025. When making your choices for any given day, if there is more than one option, you can choose to add in your preference of choice. This means that if you miss out on your first choice, you will get the chance for your second choice (or 3rd choice or 4th choice…). The SchoolsBuddy system will allocate as required. Please note that if demand is high, there may be a chance that none of your choices are allocated. Please view our General Terms and Conditions.
The Sport & ECA and CCA Schedule has been email to parents.
Term 3 Sport, ECA & CCA Timeline
Sport, ECA & CCA begin week 2 (Monday 4 August 2025)
Sport & ECA’s finish week 9 (Thursday 25 September 2025)
Joeys & Kangaroos Sport
Joey’s Sport is AISHK’s junior sport program designed to develop our children’s skills, confidence and lifelong interest in sport and physical activity. It is significant in contributing to the sporting culture at AISHK
Kangaroo’s sport is AISHK’s representative level of tournaments, leagues and fixtures. Students of all ability levels can be involved in Kangaroo’s Sport as we believe sport plays a significant role in developing our students to be all round people as they progress through to adulthood. Any school representative sport or training is identified on the Sport & ECA schedule with “SRT” (School Representative Team) in green.

To reduce costs for parents, all sport playing tops will be provided on loan by the school. Sports shorts will still need to be purchased via the sport department on allocated mornings.
Squad Swimming
Please note that squad swimming will be by invitation only. All current squad members will be contacted by our Aquatics Manager, Mr Eric Yeung. If you are new to the school and/or would like to join the swim squads, please contact Mr Yeung at eric_yeung@aishk.edu.hk and he will arrange a trial for you early term 3. Please note that our squad swimming is training, and we do not run a Learn to Swim Program. If you need assistance, we can get you in touch with a Learn to Swim provider.
Instrumental Music Programme
Learn a musical instrument or take voice lessons at AISHK with our team of dedicated instrumental teachers. Sign up for Term 3 using SchoolsBuddy.
Step 1: Login to SchoolsBuddy navigate to 'Activities' and enroll to 2025 Instrumental Programme
Step 2: Complete the form linked in SchoolsBuddy to select which instrument/voice and the lesson type you will choose. Note that enrolment closes on Monday 21st July, one week earlier than the ECA programme.
The Performing Arts team will confirm enrolment and share Term 3 lesson timetables by Wednesday 30th July. Instrumental lessons commence in Week 2 and end in Week 9 in line with the ECA programme. Please contact performing_arts@aishk.edu.hk if you have any questions.
As many of you will now know, this year we will be using the SchoolsBuddy payment system, which offers a comprehensive solution for managing school payments efficiently. It allows schools to accept online payments from parents for various items such ECA’s, day trips, and deposits for larger payments such as sports trips and activity week trips.
Parents can view their balances, make payments, and receive ‘credits’ for cancellations through the parent wallet feature. This all-in-one platform simplifies the payment process, reduces administrative workload, and enhances the overall experience for both the school and parents. Three weeks after the beginning of the ECA’s, the payment balance will be sent to your SchoolsBuddy account for your attention.
Parents new to AISHK in 2025 will have received an email with account setup instructions. Please contact us if you have not received this email or are having issues. For those that need to reset their passwords, please see the following link - SchoolsBuddy Password Reset
Please also note that there is an excellent SchoolsBuddy app that parents should be using after activation so you can easily access your account on your phones and do all sign-ups there.
