As part of their Geography curriculum, Year 7 students visited the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island on Monday, 16 March, a site of significant geographical and cultural importance in Hong Kong.
During the visit, students applied a range of fieldwork techniques, including observation, data collection and the recording of geographical features and human interactions with the environment.
Steven Heath, HSIE Teacher, said, "Students will analyse and interpret the data collected to complete a fieldwork report, which will contribute to their end-of-term summative assessment. This excursion supports the development of key geographical skills including inquiry, data analysis and understanding of the relationship between people, place and environment."
