AISHK is moving forward and changing. As the world changes rapidly, it is imperative that schools continue to change and grow to best prepare our young people for the future.
Our forward path is guided by AISHK’s five-year strategic plan. Click here to see the strategic plan in full.
As we reach the mid-point in the year it is timely that I share project updates that bring the strategy to life.
There are four strategic imperatives to guide development and improvement. These include;
Academic Excellence- challenge, success and support for all learners, in all learning
Wellbeing Literacy – shape capable, confident and connected individuals
Transformative Technology and Innovation – progressive, cybersafe, creative and thoughtful practice
Optimised Facilities and Learning Environments – dynamic and revitalised spaces
Academic Excellence
Staff are deepening their expertise in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to better support all learners and their diverse needs. This is providing opportunities for students that can and want to be extended, while understanding how best to support others.
Wellbeing Literacy
The PROSPER norms enhance how we talk about daily wellbeing and embed Wellbeing Literacy into daily school life, helping students grow as capable, confident, and connected individuals.
Transformative Technology and Innovation,
We’re fostering creative and cybersafe learning. This includes thoughtful application of AI in classrooms by teachers and the successful launch of F1 in Schools and the Lego League.
Optimised Facilities
Student-led sustainability initiatives including a campus wide recycling scheme and the Green Roof are now well underway, with more to come this term on revitalising campus spaces.
These and the many other projects underway will succeed when they are supported by the AISHK community together we continue to grow, with purpose and impact in our school’s 30th anniversary year and beyond.
