Year 3
Year 3 students set off on their first ever camp, where they developed friendships across the year group and participated in various activities such as kayaking, hiking, shelter building, and canyoning.
Head of Year 3 Kate Jackson said: "Students had an amazing time with friends creating special memories. Our camp promoted the themes of Connect, Strive and Flourish and this was displayed all through the activities and opportunities students were presented with. It was especially evident when our students worked together to achieve common goals through kayaking and shelter building, and it was amazing to see children work together so successfully. The teachers are all so proud of the resilience and independence demonstrated by our wonderful Year 3 students."
Year 4
Year 4 students attended an amazing camp in Mui Wo for the first three days of this week. Head of Year 4 Bruce Home said, "The children showed confidence, enthusiasm and resilience as they climbed waterfalls, did stand up paddle boarding, built mini campfires and worked in teams to solve a treasure hunt. They challenged themselves throughout the experience and learned a great deal about their personal strength. It was a brilliant opportunity for the year group to learn outside of school and further develop relationships across the cohort. Camp was a fantastic adventure and everyone came home happy and ready to be back in their own beds!"
Year 5
In Week 9 of Term 1, Year 5 students embarked on an unforgettable journey to Treasure Island at Pui O Beach. The camp was packed with thrilling activities and hot chocolate to keep us warm from the chilly weather. From team challenges to flying Kiwi, the sandy shores were a playground of fun and excitement. Despite the cold waters and various challenges, everyone had an amazing time! Our nights were filled with movie and theatre recreations, making each evening as memorable. Year 5's adventure at Pui O Beach was truly indescribable!
