AISHK was recently featured in the latest issue of Expat Living Magazine in the article “A Child’s Right to Play.” Head of Reception Lauren Rosanowski and Head of Primary Jane Thomas highlighted how the school’s Early Years program is grounded in the Australian Early Years Learning Framework, where play isn’t just a tool for learning - it’s a recognised right for every child, as upheld by the 1989 United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Lauren shared how play sparks curiosity, creativity and connection, noting that AISHK classrooms are intentionally designed for meaningful, self-directed exploration. Jane further explained the framework’s pillars of Belonging, Being and Becoming, describing how each supports children’s identity, confidence and growth during the Early Years.
