On 30-31 October, FAUST International Youth Theatre brought the magic of poetic performance to the Year 1&2 students through their drama workshops.

The workshops focused on bringing poetry to life through performance, creativity, and expression. Year 1 students explored the playful world of rhyme, discovering how rhythm and repetition can enhance the performance of poetry. Meanwhile, Year 2 students delved into the imaginative use of similes, learning how comparisons can add vivid imagery and emotion to their poetic creations.

Designed to complement classroom English learning, the workshops encouraged students to experiment with language in fun and interactive ways.

Colin Young, Head of Year 2, shared, “The students thoroughly enjoyed participating in the workshops. The sessions were great fun and linked to our in-class English learning. It was wonderful to see the students really enjoying creating and performing poems.”

"Through voice, movement and collaboration, our young learners shone!"
