This week, AISHK acknowledged the tragedy of the Tai Po fires. We have observed moments of silence across our gatherings, and funds raised through Jingle Mingle will go directly to Feeding Hong Kong and the Red Cross. Our heartfelt condolences go to all those affected in our community.

Thank you to the families who joined our end-of-term Primary events. The Art Exhibit was a huge success, showcasing students’ work throughout the auditorium and raising HKD 40,000 through Francesco Lietti print sales. A big thank you to our Art team; Julie Emery, Jaime Ashton, and Karina Ye and to the Parent Association for funding the Artist in Residence program. Please take a moment to admire the beautiful collaborative piece displayed in the atrium.

This week also featured the Upper Primary Athletics Carnival, where Year 3–6 students demonstrated their athleticism and speed. We appreciate the PDHPE team for their tireless efforts, especially following the AISA Games.

Next year in a big effort to tighten up our supervision and safety procedures in the afternoon after school, all Primary children who are not in an Extra Curricular Activity (ECA) will be asked to leave the campus at 3.30pm. This will be guided by the Primary Executive team.

On Wednesday, students participated in our annual transition afternoon, stepping into their 2026 classes with excitement. This time also marks farewells and welcomes new staff within our Primary community.

We bid farewell to Mr Joshua Stirling (2S classroom teacher and Head of Eucalypt House), who is returning to New Zealand with his wife Emma. We also say goodbye to Ms Indica Fox (Upper Primary Learning Enhancement), who has made a lasting impact through her support and interventions, Mr Xavier Szeto (1D teaching assistant), who will begin his career as a qualified teacher and Ms Claire Bester (Year 4 teaching assistant) who will return as a Casual Relief Teacher next year. Mrs Megan O’Connor will transition to Teacher Librarian, and Mrs Melissa Brown will become Prep Head of Year in 2026.

We warmly welcome three new educators: Mrs Maggie Marsh, returning to AISHK to teach Prep after her time at German Swiss International School; Ms Louise Darby, joining Year 6 from Yew Chung International School; and Mrs Mikayla Barratt, who will join the Learning Enhancement Centre with a strong background in learning support.

Thank you to all departing staff for their dedication and contributions. We wish them the very best and look forward to an exciting year ahead with our new team members.

Below is our list of AISHK teachers and where they will be teaching in 2026.
