It was an epic term of Kangaroos Sport with our highest number of teams entered in ISSFHK leagues, in a season, ever. This featured many students from both primary school and secondary school, and included 12 teams across soccer, netball, volleyball and touch. On top of this we had several HKPSSA events including cricket, swimming and aquathon. Well done to all our athletes who represented the Kangaroos this term.
This also brings us to the end of the sports calendar year with some fantastic results along the way. More importantly, we had our highest number of teams participating ever with over 70 teams representing the Roo's at domestic and international events. Here are some more impressive statistics from our 24/25 sports year...
286 - Number of fixtures the Roo's competed in at ISSFHK this year
92 - Number of fixtures the Roo's competed in at HKPSSA this year
158 - Number of fixtures the Roo's competed in at international events this year (SDRC, ACAMIS, AISA)
536 - Total number of fixtures the Roo's competed in this year
17 - The number of individual meet events the Roo's competed in this year (swimming, athletics, cross country, aquathon)
11 - The number of international events the Roo's competed in the year.
A huge thank you to all our coaches who have put so much time into our teams and individuals. They not only look after the needs of the team but also the wellbeing and support of all the individuals going through the highs and lows that sport provides. Without these fantastic staff members, our students simply would not be able to participate in sport at AISHK.
We look forward to another huge year ahead with the 2025/26 sports year kicking off at the end of August. We also look forward to hosting some major events throughout the year, such as SDRC Soccer, ACAMIS Basketball and the AISA Games.
Please keep an eye out for enrolment in the term 3 sport & ECA's which will open on SchoolsBuddy 25th June.
