This week, Year 6 students visited Legislative Council (LegCo) of Hong Kong as part of their History unit on systems of government. They explored how the legislature works through an interactive programme, learning about the roles of legislators and how laws are debated and passed.

A highlight was a role-play activity where students acted as lawmakers, debating proposals and voting on decisions, gaining a deeper appreciation of respectful discussion.

Primary Teacher Olivia Ashton, said, "Thank you to the parents who accompanied and supported us! We are proud of the Year 6 students for their excellent behaviour and active participation. This experience has not only enriched their understanding of government but also inspired them to think about their roles as informed and responsible citizens."
