Congratulations to Year 6 student Jayden Koo, who has been selected to represent Hong Kong, China U12 Ice Hockey Team in the China National Youth Ice Hockey Championships, this month. This is the largest ice hockey tournament in China.
Reflecting on the experience, he said, “During game 2, I got injured and I was carried off the ice. Although it wasn’t what I had hoped for, that moment taught me the importance of being strong both mentally and physically. Luckily, after some rest, I was able to continue playing in the tournament.”
“Representing Hong Kong, China on such a big stage was both an honor and a privilege. Despite the challenges, I felt tremendous pride wearing the team colors and competing at such a high level.”
“I learned the importance of resilience and teamwork. It showed me how support from others helps us push through difficult moments, We started to play as a real cohesive team in the later games.”
Congratulations once again!
