Year 5 Students Host Interview with World Dance Champion and TV Host

Year 5 AISHK students had a very special Chinese lesson, on the 15 May, as they welcomed World Dance Champion, Jeny Lee and TV Host, Emma Zha to campus. A group of four students chaired a panel discussion in Mandarin with their special guests, followed by an audience Q&A session including students, teachers and parents. 

The panel hosts independently prepared thoughtful interview questions about becoming a TV presenter, achieving world championship success, overcoming challenges, favourite dance styles, major events hosted, and managing stage nerves.

Maggie Cheng, Specialist Teacher – Chinese, said, “This was the students first time hosting an event in Mandarin, and the students rose to the occasion with impressive confidence. It was a meaningful and engaging learning experience, showcasing their leadership, communication skills, and ability to organise and lead a professional event.”
