Year 4's Adventure Through the Food Chain

At last week’s Year 4 Assembly, students creatively demonstrated the different processes within food chains. They highlighted their knowledge of how organisms in an ecosystem interact with one another, how they gain energy, and the different types of consumers.

Bruce Home, Head of Year 4, said, “Year 4 students shone bright on Friday as they shared their learning through a creative display about Food Chains. There were costumes, songs, props, dances and excellent storytelling by the learners. Through these creative expressions of curriculum, the children were able to embed their learning and 'live what they study'. All the children displayed confidence, courage, and resilience as they worked through the development of scripts, learning of songs and dances, partaking in rehearsals and finally, standing up in front of a big audience. The fun of learning was clearly evident during this engaging assembly presentation!”
