Year 3 students took us on a whirlwind tour of global festivals during their assembly on Friday, 21 November. From glowing lanterns and mooncakes at the Mid-Autumn Festival, to the colours, music, and treats of Holi, and the Irish cheer of St. Patrick’s Day, the assembly was a celebration of traditions from around the world.
The finale? An Aussie Christmas complete with backyard cricket, sizzling sausages, and Grandpa Jack’s festive ute blasting “Aussie Jingle Bells.”
As one Year 3 student reminded us, “Different places, different traditions—but all full of joy! Festivals bring people together… and sometimes snacks!”
