Year 11 Student to Represent Scotland in U17 International Tournament

Congratulations to Year 11 student Cai McGunnigle, who has been selected to represent Scotland in the U17 International Tournament in Porto. This is a major achievement - made even more impressive by being scouted from Hong Kong!

Scotland faces Serbia, Portugal and Italy in the tournament next week.

During last week’s Sports Awards, Cai offered this advice to fellow young athletes, “I just think that hard work and dedication will always beat talent. Whatever you do - whether it’s school, football, or anything else, always work hard. Believe in yourself. Because if you do, I truly think you can do anything. And also, enjoy it. Enjoy whatever you’re doing.”
