Year 1 Assembly - Exploring the Four Seasons

At the Year 1 Assembly last Friday, students showcased their learning about the four seasons and how changes in the weather impact plants, animals and the environment. The year group took the audience on a journey through all the seasons in a year, using performance to illustrate how and when these changes in the weather happen.  

Kathryn Troy, Head of Year 1, said, “Each class explored a different season and enthusiastically acted out how animals and plants change throughout the year. The whole year group worked collaboratively to create beautiful seasonal trees, showing how they transform across the seasons. Students also learned that the seasons can look different depending on the country, proximity to the equator, and whether you are in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere. The children thoroughly enjoyed bringing their learning to life!”
