Weather Procedures

As we near the rainy season in Hong Kong, (which can incur very heavy rain and typhoons), we kindly remind parents to view the school’s weather procedures below. This document is saved on,

• iSams, Login, School Information> Documents and Files.

These procedures are aligned with the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) and the Education Bureau (EDB) requirements for all schools in Hong Kong.

School Communication

During adverse weather events the Hong Kong Observatory and the Education Bureau will make public announcements, raising weather alerts and sometimes closing schools.

In these situations the school will,

• Email parents,

• Update the school's website, homepage and

• Send a mobile push notification via iSams.

Emergency Student Release Form (with two hours warning - Typhoon 8 signal)

For parents who have not yet completed the Emergency Student Release Form (which was shared with families earlier this term) please complete the form,

• iSams > Login > Communication> Electronic Forms.

This form tells the school how your child should travel home if the HK Observatory announces it will raise the Typhoon 8 signal in 2 hours.
