Very Hot Weather Warning, Aug 2026

AISHK's response to hot weather conditions is guided by the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO). When the Very Hot Weather Warning is in force, AISHK will encourage students to:

• Take regular drink breaks throughout the day, including before and after outdoor play breaks.

• Stay in shaded areas or visit the library, cafeteria, or indoor clubs (where appropriate for their year level).

• Wear hats when outdoors. Hats are mandatory for Primary students and strongly encouraged for Secondary students.

• Apply sunscreen before going outside (sunscreen is available in Primary classrooms and the Nurse's Office on 2/F).

• Be aware that certain outdoor activities, such as recess and lunch breaks, PE lessons, outdoor ECAs, and outdoor excursions, may be modified, postponed, or cancelled as appropriate.

• Observe the Red Flag, which will be displayed to remind students of the extreme weather conditions.

  
  

If a student becomes unwell due to excessive heat, they will be taken directly to the school nurse on 2/F.
