Yes AISHK! Disco Diwali! At the Upper Primary assembly this morning it was all light and joy and hands-in-the-air.
The assembly started with a staff dance pumping up the jam to Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Naina and Sapphire by Ed Sheeran and Arijit Singh. This was followed by Hitesh Amarnani founder of the World Dance Company who lead the assembly in a four song danceathon.
Staff and students commented that it was a wonderful way to start a Friday.
Earlier in the week students dressed in colourful clothing and in homerooms discussed the meaning and messages of Diwali.
Awards were given to students who took part in the APSMO Maths Olympiad. 5 students placed in the top 10% Percentile Band of the APSMO Maths Olympiad Junior, one of whom with the highest score for the team, Tristan Tang.
