Under the Dome: Year 2 Discovers the Wonders of the Galaxy!

Today, 4 November 2026, our Year 2 students experienced an out-of-this-world adventure right inside our school auditorium with a visit from The Discovery Dome!

As they stepped inside the massive inflatable portable planetarium, our students laid down on the floor, full of anticipation. The moment the 360-degree projections lit up overhead, the room transformed into a breathtaking window to the cosmos. 

Giggles of excitement quickly turned into gasps of pure wonder as dazzling stars, swirling galaxies, and planets swept across the dome ceiling above them.

Throughout the immersive lesson, the students learned so much about our home planet, Earth, as well as the fascinating neighboring planets and moons orbiting around us in our solar system. It was a brilliantly fun way to bring space science to life, sparking endless curiosity and leaving our young learners completely spellbound by the mysteries of the universe!
