Student Laptop Purchasing Options and Limited 2026 Dell Availability
Dear Parents,
As many of you may be aware, the cost of laptops globally has increased significantly. As a result, the price of the AISHK student Dell laptop will increase to HK$9,150 from 2027.
To assist families ahead of this increase, we currently have a limited number of brand-new 2026 Dell laptops available at HK$7,600.
These devices are almost identical in specification to the 2027 model. The only difference is one year less manufacturer warranty; however, they still include a full three-year warranty. At HK$7,600, the 2026 model represents a saving of HK$1,550 compared with the 2027 price while providing virtually the same device.
This opportunity may be particularly useful for:
Students entering Year 4 who will require a laptop for the AISHK 1:1 Laptop Programme.
Students currently in Years 4-9 who may need a replacement device in the future.
If preferred, we can reserve a purchased laptop and securely store it for collection in January 2027.
Years 4-9 1:1 Laptop Programme Remains Unchanged
We would like to be very clear that the AISHK 1:1 Dell Laptop Programme for students in Years 4-9 is not changing and remains fully in effect.
Students in Years 4-9 are still expected to use the AISHK-specified Dell device as part of the school's 1:1 programme. The additional purchasing options described below do not replace or alter this requirement.
Senco Masslink Educational Purchasing Portal
AISHK has also established an arrangement with Senco Masslink Technology, a respected Hong Kong educational technology supplier that works with ESF and other international schools.
The Senco Masslink portal is available to any family with access to an AISHK email account and provides access to a curated selection of Apple and Lenovo devices at educationally discounted prices.
To avoid any confusion:
Devices purchased through Senco Masslink do not replace the AISHK 1:1 Dell Laptop Programme for Years 4-9.
Families with students in Years 4-9 are welcome to purchase devices through Senco Masslink, but these devices should be considered personal-use devices rather than school-issued programme devices.
For students in Years 10-12, who participate in AISHK's Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Programme, Senco Masslink provides an additional purchasing option.
Families of BYOD students may choose to purchase through Senco Masslink or through any retailer or supplier of their choice.
There is no requirement or expectation that families use Senco Masslink.
Our objective is simply to provide AISHK families with access to a carefully selected range of suitable devices at fair educational pricing through an established and trusted supplier. Whether or not families choose to purchase through Senco Masslink is entirely their decision.
Purchases, payment arrangements and warranty support are managed directly between the buyer and Senco Masslink. AISHK's role is limited to facilitating access to these educational offers.
