Shining a Light on Men’s Mental Health: 6 November
Today, November 6, 2026, our sports field came alive with a bake sale, BBQ, face painting, and games to kick off Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. The Student Wellbeing Prefects also prepared presentations shared in homeroom to highlight the importance of reaching out for support when needed (because "Strong Men Speak Up").
You'll also spot some growing moustaches around campus as students and teachers take part in Movember!
Beyond the fun and food, today served as a vital reminder to prioritize our well-being every day. Here are a few simple ways to take care of your mental health:
Talk open and often: Reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or teacher when things feel overwhelming. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Stay active and rest up: Regular physical movement, outdoors time, and adequate sleep do wonders for resetting your mindset and mood.
Practice daily mindfulness: Take short breaks during busy days to pause, breathe, or step away from screens.
Check in on your peers: A simple "How are you really doing?" can open the door to a life-changing conversation for someone who might be struggling in silence.
Thank you for joining the conversation and supporting the cause!
