Reminder About Red Rain Procedures

Before School (Announced before 7:30 am)

• Classes will be suspended on campus, and work will be provided for students.

• AISHK will accept students who arrive and retain them until it is safe to allow them to proceed home.
  

(In the event of scheduled public examinations for senior students, the Head of Secondary will communicate arrangements to students and parents via email.)

During School (Announced at or after 8:00 am)

• AISHK operates until the end of normal school hours and parents are not required to take any action during the normal school day.
  

• AISHK staff will stay on campus until all student departures are safely completed.
  

• All school excursions and offsite activities will be postponed.

After School

• Students in Reception to Year 6, will remain in their classroom and will be supervised by their teachers until the signal is lowered to Amber or they are collected by an adult.

• Secondary students will be dismissed once an assessment of local weather conditions has been made and it is considered safe for students to travel home.

• The bus company will transport students home once the signal is lowered to Amber. If the Red signal remains in force at 4:15pm, buses will be cancelled and parents or guardians will need to collect students from campus.

• All ECAs will be cancelled (if the signal is in place at or after 12noon).
