R U OK? Day at AISHK
On 10 September, AISHK joined communities across Australia in recognising R U OK? Day, encouraging everyone to connect, support one another and ask the important question, “Are you OK?”
Primary and Secondary Student Representative Councils led initiatives across the school, with students and staff wearing a touch of yellow, creating displays and encouraging our community to check in with each other.
Primary students participated in kindness-focused activities, crafts and badge-making, while Secondary students took part in discussions about asking the right questions and listening to people. They explored the importance of checking in regularly, building trust and normalising conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
Together, these activities helped strengthen empathy, connection and support across our school community, reminding us that a simple conversation can make a real difference.
