Primary SRC Student Representative Council Term 3 Update

1 min read

This term, the Primary SRC worked with Reception students during Wednesday morning tea play sessions, introducing games such as Snakes and Ladders, UNO, Guess Who? and Spot It! These sessions helped younger students learn new games while building positive relationships with the SRCs.

The SRCs also prepared for R U OK? Day on 10 September by creating stick-figure decorations for the Early Childhood area and designing R U OK? Day badges for Year 5 and 6 students.

On the day, Year 3 to 6 SRCs led classroom activities, including anonymous positive message writing and distributing breakfast-themed keychains to Reception to Year 2 students. Through these activities, they promoted kindness, connection and the importance of starting the day with a healthy breakfast.

ECA SRC Animal Care Club

Since 2023, Primary SRC has worked with Animal Asia, a well-established registered charity devoted to improving the welfare of animals and ending cruel bear bile farming.  The ECA is open to all Year 3-6 students. Students are given the opportunity to interact with specially trained dogs and learn about how to look after a pet dog. The ECA will be running on Wednesdays Term 3 (Week 5-8) and Term 4 (Week 5-8).
