This term, the Primary SRC (Student Representative Council) visited the Reception classes on Week 7 and 9. They helped the children to build puppets and created paintings based on storybooks which the Reception children read in class. This activity was a great opportunity to strengthen the connection between Primary and Early Childhood, and for SRC students to develop their leadership skills.
Our after-school SRC, Animal Care Club was another huge success. This program is run by Animal Asia, a well-established registered charity devoted to improving the welfare of animals and ending cruel bear bile farming. This ECA is open to all Year 3-6 students. Students are given the opportunity to interact with specially trained dogs and learn about how to look after a pet dog. It will run again in Term 2.
