Outstanding Results for AISHK in the Big Science Competition

The outstanding achievements of Secondary students were recognised at assembly yesterday, celebrating their achievements in the Big Science Competition 2025. 

The Big Science Competition is an international online assessment for students in Years 7 to 10, designed to test scientific understanding through real-world and contemporary contexts. This year, more than 37,000 students from Australia and around the world participated in the 50-minute competition.

A total of 41 AISHK Secondary students took part, achieving excellent results. 10% of AISHK participants earned High Distinctions, while 27% achieved Distinctions, reflecting the strength of scientific thinking and problem-solving skills across the group.

Throughout the competition, students tackled challenging questions that assessed their scientific understanding, analytical thinking and ability to apply knowledge to real-life situations.
