Medical Matters, Speaker Event

Maxine and Valerie, two senior students at AISHK, hosted a AISHK x CDNIS Medical Speaker Event on 19 May, bringing together students from AISHK and Canadian International School of Hong Kong. The event aimed to help students understand how practicing healthcare professionals use their skills day-to-day and how healthcare subjects are taught.

A nurse, a practicing physician, professor, and current medical students - each shared their experience of working in the healthcare field.

Maxine and Valerie explained that feedback from the event was positive. "The Q&A session stood out as a highlight, where students asked thoughtful questions and heard personal stories that brought the realities of a healthcare career to life."

"It was very valuable to share ideas with people from other schools and discuss the different pathways and career options available. There are so many areas and a lot of them have both advantages and disadvantages, so discussing it with each other helped us to gain new perspectives."
