On Monday, 11 August, Year 2 students ventured to the vibrant Kowloon Flower Market, one of Hong Kong’s most colorful destinations!
The trip was all about hands-on learning, giving students the chance to explore the fascinating world of plants. Each child carefully selected flowers, seeds and herbs to bring back to school, fostering thoughtful decision-making and independence. A huge shoutout to our enthusiastic parent volunteers whose support made this experience even more special!
Colin Young, Head of Year 2, shared, "This excursion marks the start of our new Science unit on plant growth and life cycles. Over the coming weeks, students will plant and nurture their selections, observing each stage from seed to sprout to full bloom. The project also aims to highlight the positive impact of gardens and green environments on people and communities. We can’t wait to see our Year 2 "class gardens" thrive in the coming weeks!"
