On August 27, AISHK recognised the achievements of our student athletes at the Sports Awards. This year students have displayed incredible talent, teamwork and sportsmanship, on-and-off the field.
During the 2024–2025 sports year, AISHK fielded over 80 teams, participated in 536 fixtures across various disciplines, competed in 17 meet events including swimming, athletics and cross country and took part in 11 international events - one of which was hosted on campus. These impressive achievements reflect our students’ enthusiasm and commitment to engaging in multiple sports throughout the year.
A total of 80 students were recognized at the sports awards for their contributions. The event was MCed by Year 12 students Lindsay Tang, Sarah Broderick and Josh Burton. Director of Sports, Tim Tait interviewed Year 11 student, Cai McGunnigle, who was recently selected to join Scotland's U17 team for an international tournament in Portugal.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Tait said, "As we close this remarkable year, we encourage all students to continue exploring new sports, supporting their peers, and embracing every challenge. Remember that each game played and each challenge faced contributes to your personal development. Thank you for your dedication, energy and love for sport. Let’s keep the momentum going into another exciting year ahead!"
Congratulations to all our athletes!
