International Women's Day Speaker Event at AISHK

AISHK hosted its first International Women’s Day speaker event on, 11 March, bringing together Secondary students, staff and guests to reflect on gender equality and the power of positive change. 

The panel featured three speakers: Rachel Huf, Chief Executive of Barclays Bank, Hong Kong Branch and Asia Pacific General Counsel; Stefanie Evennett, Managing Director at Financial Times Leader Academy Asia; and Susan McLean, Cyber Safety Expert and Author. Each speaker shared insights from their professional journeys, highlighting the importance of advocacy, mentorship, courage and collective action in progressing gender equality.

The day's activities were led by a group of Prefects who wanted to create a meaningful opportunity for learning and discussion around equality and equity within our school community.

They also organised the distribution of purple ribbons to all students in the school, designed posters and put together resources for class teachers and homeroom teachers to share with their classes.
