Students had a wonderful day exploring the great outdoors at Brides Pool near Plover Cove Reservoir on 12 November. This trip was part of the HKAYP Silver Adventurous Journey practice day, giving students a chance to develop essential outdoor skills in preparation for their award.

Forty enthusiastic adventurers set off for a day filled with learning, teamwork, and fun. The morning began with a scenic walk where students practiced navigation and map-reading skills. At the BBQ site, they rolled up their sleeves for hands-on activities, tying knots, setting up and packing away tents, using walkie-talkies, and even cooking their own lunch on gas stoves. After enjoying their meals, everyone worked together to tidy up the site, showing great responsibility and care for nature.

To top it off, groups took a short walk to the beautiful Mirror Falls, a perfect spot to appreciate the stunning scenery. It was a fantastic experience that combined practical skills, cooperation, and a love for the outdoors, an important step toward their HKAYP Silver Award journey!
