School Board 2026

Throughout 2026, the school’s board of governors have remained focused on the strategic priorities that matter most to students and families: academic excellence, wellbeing literacy, the thoughtful use of technology, and the ongoing optimisation of learning spaces. Through the lens of Connect, Strive and Flourish, these priorities reflect our shared commitment to ensuring every child feels known, supported and challenged. The monthly meetings have given careful attention to the continued development of the school through quality educational provision, governance, risk oversight, campus development, financial stewardship and technological advancement, so that AISHK remains well placed to support students and families now and into the future. In September members of the school board and the senior leadership team will have a strategy day. This will be an opportunity to reflect on our shared aspirations for AISHK and to help shape the next three-year strategy cycle (2027 – 2029) that will guide the school’s continued development and success.

Mr Wayne Simpson – Head of Advancement

We are delighted to welcome Mr Wayne Simpson, who will lead school advancement at AISHK and joins the community next week. As a former AISHK parent, Wayne brings not only considerable experience in philanthropy and donor engagement in the not-for-profit sector, but also a genuine personal connection to our school community. His passion for giving back to AISHK, and for strengthening the ties between our alumni, families and wider community, will be a wonderful asset as we continue to grow a culture of fundraising, philanthropic effort, engagement for the future.

Mental Health Speaker – Ryan Parke (UK)

Year 11 boys took part in an engaging session with Ryan Parke (The Men's Coach) on men's mental health. They learned about testosterone's connection to mood and wellbeing, and received practical tips on sleep, nutrition, exercise, vitamin D3, and sobriety. The session emphasized how lifestyle changes and healthy competition can positively impact mental health, giving students actionable strategies to support their wellbeing.

As Ryan emphasised, “simple lifestyle changes can significantly improve wellbeing,” reinforcing the idea that young men have real agency in shaping their mental health.

Secondary Swimming Carnival

There was to be plenty of colour, noise, and fun at our Secondary school swimming carnival which was due for a vibrant return on Thursday. Unfortunately, this event did not go ahead as planned due to unstable weather on Thursday and the closure of the external swimming pool. A modified campus swimming competition was held after the off-site carnival was cancelled. We appreciate our PDHPE and Sports Team for their hard work and quick organisation, ensuring competitive swimmers had an event at school.
