Congratulations to AISHK alumnus Ivan Yue!
Ivan represented Australia at the 3rd CHITF Taekwon‑Do Open World Championship in Puerto Rico (14–16 November 2025), earning a Silver Medal in the Patterns 18–35 Years Male 2nd–1st Gup category (red to red‑black belt level).
“The routine I performed is named Chong Moo, the 11th pattern in ITF‑style taekwondo and the final routine before reaching black belt. It has 30 moves and is considered one of the most difficult patterns because it has no symmetry or repetition, making it much harder to learn and memorise.”
“I grew up watching action movies and superhero cartoons, which motivated me to start martial arts. I began taekwondo in Year 2 through the AISHK ECA program and it’s been one of my biggest passions ever since," he shared.
His message to younger students:
“Growth only happens outside your comfort zone. Don’t be afraid to push yourself. Your limits are only what you perceive them to be. Do the things that scare you or make you uncomfortable because that’s how you learn and grow.”
