On 24 August, Miu swam the English Channel solo in an astonishing 13 hours and 16 minutes. Just two weeks later, she joined a Hong Kong relay team to complete a double crossing in 25 hours and 42 minutes - becoming the first HK team to achieve this feat!

“Swimming has taught me perseverance and the ability to stay mentally strong even when things get tough. Ultra marathon swimming is nothing about talent or something you’re born with, it’s all about the effort you put in, the commitment and the mental toughness," she shared.

What’s next for Miu? Competing in The Ocean's Seven, a long-distance swimming challenge that consists of crossing seven of the most difficult water channels in the world. These include the English Channel, the North Channel, and the Strait of Gibraltar. She’s also planning for a long-distance swim in Tasmania next year and a 24+ hour swim in Europe in 2027.
