Year 8 Student Invited to International Piano Week

Year 8 student Brandon Lam recently attended, Denmark International Piano Week after receiving a scholarship and invitation from the World Piano Teachers Association and European Piano Teachers Association. The programme brought together students, professors, piano teachers and families from more than 20 national backgrounds for a week of learning, performance and collaboration. Only 50 people aged 9-28 are invited to take part in International Piano Week. To be invited is an exceptional achievement! 

Reflecting on the experience, he said, "The highlight of the camp was meeting new people from all over the world. From professors and students to parents, making new friends and musical connections was an amazing experience. What I noticed most was how positive everyone was about music and piano. It brought us together and became a universal language that helped us connect, learn from one another and grow as musicians.” 

During the programme, Brandon took part in a range of learning and performance opportunities, including masterclasses, workshops and recital performances.
