On 10 May, AISHK hosted the Hong Kong International Music Educators (HKIME) conference, an event dedicated to elevating music education through connection, collaboration and a strong sense of community. Over 50 music educators from Hong Kong and China attended, engaging with 15 presenters who covered topics ranging from Chinese music in the classroom, sound therapy, building scope and sequences and experience sessions for strings, band, choir, and GarageBand.

Jaime Ashton, AISHK Primary Creative Arts Specialist and HKIME committee member, shared: "Everyone left with practical tools ready to implement in their own classrooms. There will be more opportunities for collaborations and professional development. We look forward to upcoming student-focused events like the HKIME Choir Festival, featuring choirs from five international schools.”
