During Activity Week last term, Secondary students flew to Fiji to help with community projects and engage in service learning. In the weeks leading up to this trip, the YES Club looked to the school community for donations of books and sporting equipment. Thanks to the generosity of the AISHK community we [the Fiji trip members] collected lots of items. These donations were given to the Infuse Kids Club, who work with multiple local villages around the Momi Bay area. Through reading lessons, storytelling sessions, and language classes, the charity seeks to provide widespread support and empower the next generation of Fijians.
A special thanks goes out to all the families and individuals in AISHK who kindly donated own items to help communities in Fiji. Our thanks also goes to Mr Bailey, who led the Activity Week trip to Fiji and assisted in bringing all of our donations.
The YES Club hopes to continue fostering more connections with communities in Hong Kong and overseas in the future!
