It was a magical night of music last Friday, as students stepped into the "Spotlight" for the Performing Arts Showcase. Students performed a diverse programme of music from Saint-Saëns to Olivia Newton-John.
The show opened with the Primary Musical Theatre Group performed Be Our Guest, from their upcoming show Beauty and the Beast Jnr. The Spotlight showcase featured performances from the Primary and Secondary instrumental groups, vocal groups, and chamber ensembles. There were also performances from music elective classes and senior school music students - with some bands making their stage debut.
Head of Performing Arts Mr. Joseph Travers said, "Congratulations to all students who performed, and the commitment and perseverance you showed in practice and rehearsals. A huge thank you to the Performing Arts team who made the concert a reality. Events like this are a celebration of performing arts across the school and an opportunity to inspire others as we celebrate the arts across AISHK."
