AISHK takes student, staff and parent safety extremely seriously. Please note the following procedures that we follow:
No construction work happens on our site during the hours of 7 am - 5 pm, Monday - Fridays. All scaffolding that you see in place is ready for after school, weekend work and work to be completed during the break.
The entire campus is smoke free, contractors are not allowed to smoke anywhere on the campus. This is strictly enforced.
All flammable and fire related materials and waste are properly classified, sealed and managed carefully away from power supplies and potential ignition points.
The work site is inspected throughout the day by the contractor, our project manager and our internal AISHK staff. All accesses are clearly marked and secured so that no unauthorised staff may enter.
The contractor employes a Registered Safety Officer who is responsible for adhering to all relevant safety protocols.
As well as the 'regular' fire safety equipment, hoses, extinguishers and alarm systems of the school, the contractor is required to have additional fire safety equipment across the campus where necessary.
