Secondary Students Participate in Elevate Sports Leadership Workshop
The PDHPE and Sport Department hosted the first Elevate Sports Leadership Workshop on The Roo’s Way: Culture Drives Performance, on 21 October.
During the workshop, Secondary students explored what makes a great team, reflected on the sporting culture at AISHK and discussed why a positive team culture is essential for success.
Students also examined how individual behaviours influence culture, identified the habits of high-performing teams and explored The Roo’s Way in action. Together, they affirmed their commitment to key behaviours that strengthen both individual and team performance: being positive, building strong relationships, striving for excellence, using individual strengths, acting with purpose, engaging fully and showing resilience.
Tim Tait, Director of Sport, said, “This workshop is designed to strengthen leadership and culture across our sporting programmes. Thank you to everyone who participated. Your commitment, enthusiasm and willingness to contribute to the discussion were outstanding. By embracing The Roo’s Way, our students are building the foundations for both personal growth and sporting success.”
