This year’s Science Week film, Legends of Emberfalls, showcases student creativity and the collaborative effort required to produce a film.
One Year 11 student played a dual role supporting the production as a tech assistant and stepping into character as one of the King's guards in his first-ever acting role!
“I didn’t have a specific title but I helped with everything, from setting up blue screens to checking scripts and organising scenes. It was about making filming easier for everyone. Acting was a new experience but I’m glad I did it. Even though it was a small role, it felt good to be part of something bigger. Working with teachers was also really nice. They were supportive and easy to work with. I even got to know some Primary teachers better through this project," he shared.
With a passion for music, the student shared how developing his music-tech skills help to broaden his understanding of productions, “Tech is a big part of concerts. Learning more about it, helped me understand the full picture of what goes into a performance.”
“Helping out was fulfilling. I enjoyed being useful, taking initiative and being part of the team.”
Don’t miss the premiere of, Legends of Emberfalls on 29 August!
