The Primary Environmental Committee and Secondary Sustainability Group would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our school community for your incredible generosity and support throughout our Redress Sustainability Initiative.

Thanks to your contributions, we successfully collected 19 boxes of clothing, which were picked up last week by Redress, helping to reduce textile waste and extend the life of pre-loved items.

Our fundraising efforts on Friday, 5 June were an outstanding success:

  • The bake sale and thrift shop raised an impressive $5,010

  • We also collected 22.2 kg of coins, totalling $4,293.70

A special mention goes to our house teams for their enthusiasm and participation in the coin collection:

  • Jacaranda: 4.7 kg

  • Waratah: 5.4 kg

  • Wattle: 3.8 kg

  • Eucalypt: 8.3 kg

🎉 Congratulations to Eucalypt for collecting the highest amount and taking out the win!

All funds raised will be donated to Redress, a charity dedicated to reducing clothing waste and promoting sustainable fashion practices. As an organisation with limited resources, Redress relies on the generosity of communities like ours to continue their important work.

Thank you once again for making a meaningful difference through your actions and support!

Melissa Pepper, Primary Sustainability Co-ordinator
