AISHK parent, Karl Malakunas, will be screening his Emmy-nominated documentary “Delikado” at the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival (HKAFF) on Sunday, November 16 at 1:00pm at Broadway Cinematheque.

Set on the island of Palawan in the Philippines, Delikado highlights the efforts of local environmental advocates working to protect their land and communities. The film offers a compelling look at the challenges they face and the broader social, political and economic context surrounding their work.

Karl previously visited AISHK and talked in depth with our senior students about the film’s subject matter following a screening.

Karl will join a Q&A hosted by Greenpeace, following the public screening.
