The school has been buzzing this week with Mother’s Day celebrations including the bustling 2F gift stall, varied social gatherings and the generous raffle prize contributions. This was all due to the thoughtful and united effort from our Parent Association (PA). I observed schoolwide enthusiasm and interest from students as they shopped at the Mother’s Day Stall on Tuesday and Wednesday. All ages were connected to this opportunity through a deep respect, appreciation and love for family. Thank you to our PA for this initiative. It nurtured such positivity across our student body, embodied how we PROSPER together and highlighted authentically the community spirit that defines our school.
Next Wednesday Eucalypt and Jacaranda Houses will host a mufti day which is a highly anticipated event that encapsulates the unique Australian identity of our school. This day not only brings our students together in a fun celebration of house spirit but also highlights our collective commitment to service learning. All proceeds from the day will be directed to Christina Noble Children’s Foundation which is the charity chosen by our students. The mufti day reinforces the strong bonds that make AISHK a vibrant and caring community where our students have agency.
Alongside these community celebrations, I am pleased to share that we are continuing to plan for future campus improvements. Guided by the thoughtful stewardship of our Board, we are carefully reviewing areas requiring refurbishment and setting out our intentions for the next three years. Our commitment is to ensure that our facilities meet the evolving needs of all learners and updates will be provided to families soon.
The redevelopment of the GF Wellness Wing is currently in the consultancy phase, engaging stakeholder groups to refine the designs and ensure that all voices are heard. We anticipate completion of this major project by January 2027, marking a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to enhance the learning environment for every member of our school community.
Congratulations to those Secondary students for their outstanding recital during assembly which showcased the talent of our students through a range of classical music performances.
Thank you for your continued support, engagement, and dedication to AISHK. Have a relaxing weekend and wishing all our mums a very enjoyable Mother’s Day with family.
