Absence Reporting, Seven Consecutive Days

We wanted to inform you about an important change in our procedures as directed by the Education Bureau (EDB).

Now on if a child is absent for seven consecutive days, it is a new requirement for us to report this absence to the EDB on the seventh day without any delay. We are also required to provide the reason for the absence once we know it.

This new regulation applies to all primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong.

This reporting process will help our schools work closely with our families and the Non-Attending Cases (NAC) team at the EDB, ensuring that any necessary support is provided.

If you have any questions about this new regulation, please contact the respective office
