A Warm Welcome from the Parent Association
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to each of you as valued members of the AISHK Parent Association and the 2025 PA Executive and General Committee. It has been great to meet with new and returning families and I hope you all had a chance to make new connections at the Welcome Festival.
Every parent of a student at the school is automatically part of the Parent Assocation but if you would like to find out more about the AISHK Parent Association the first General Meeting will be held in the Level 9 Staff Room on:

The AISHK Parent Association exists to support the school community to connect, engage, socialise, and stay in touch with each other and school initiatives. Meet the PA 2025
Alex Harrington – President
I am delighted to be a part of the AISHK PA Executive team for 2025 and look forward to supporting the wonderful and unique community that is the Australian International School in Hong Kong. My family has been a part of the AISHK community since 2019 when our son Xavier started in year 1. The years have flown by even with the handbrake of covid, and incredibly we are now into secondary school. The AISHK community and new parents group was instrumental in helping us find our feet here in Hong Kong. From the daunting and unfamiliar early days, I can honestly say that we are now thriving and Hong Kong is very much home. Please reach out if I can support you and your family in your journey here at AISHK.
Julie Marchese - Secretary
Julie is mother to 3 girls in Year 8 and 9. This is her third year as part of the amazing AISHK community. Juile is a practicing lawyer and has held various committee positions both professionally and personally and is looking forward to continuing making a positive contribution again this year.
Claire Doherty – Vice President Finance AISHK
I’m Claire Doherty, mother of three with Annabel and Charlotte in Year 4 and Year 3 at AISHK, and my son Patrick, a former student of AISHK, who is now currently in boarding school in Melbourne, Australia.
I’m excited to take on the role of treasurer in the Parents Association, especially as we gear up to celebrate our 30th anniversary.
I absolutely love everything about Hong Kong—the vibrant fashion, delicious food (especially dumplings!), coffee, and beautiful hiking trails. I can't wait to contribute to our school community and make this milestone year truly special for all of us!
Steven Do – Vice President Community AISHK
I am the Community representative for the AISHK Parents Association this year and here to assist parents and families connect as they settle into the school from a community perspective. It was wonderful to meet and chat with many of you during Morning Coffee in week 1 at the school cafeteria and at the Welcome Festival and I hope you are your children have found new friends and stories in your first couple of weeks at AISHK. The school community at AISHK is very nurturing with many forming life-long friendships. Angus McLeod – Vice President New Parents
I’m delighted to be a part of the AISHK Parent Association for 2025. As new parent coordinator, the aim is to help new parents to settle into the school life and community. Whether you’re new to the school or to Hong Kong, AISHK has a vibrant, welcoming and fun school community. It was great to meet many of the new families at the school earlier this week during our welcome coffee events - we hope you and your children have settled in well in this first week at AISHK. The many social events throughout the year are an excellent way to meet other parents and families.
