With our Primary swimming program in full swing, the Wellbeing Committee has, this week, been discussing the importance of exercise for children and adolescents. The Australian Department for Health recommends at least one hour of moderate to vigorous activity involving mainly aerobic activities per day. It is also recommended that more vigorous activities such as organised sport should be incorporated at least three days per week.
For many busy students and families in Hong Kong, it can be challenging to factor in exercise around already busy schedules. The Australian Department of Health provides some very useful tips which are beneficial for families who would like more information on how to keep children and adolescents active in a variety of engaging ways.
