Library Update | Term 2 Week 6

National Simultaneous Storytime (Primary)

On Wednesday 25th May, Primary students at AISHK  participated in the National Simultaneous Storytime by reading the book Family Tree altogether! This is an annual event run by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) where children from all across Australia (and around the world) read a book together simultaneously. This year, there were over 2 million participants!

Reception AM and some Prep classes joined us in the Library to read the book online with the author, Josh Pyke. The illustrator, Ronojoy Ghosh,  also told us all about the inspiration for his pictures.  We all had a great time listening to the story and singing along with Josh Pyke at the end.
