[Head of School] Term 4 Week 8 Message

Congratulations to all who have contributed to make this term a huge success. The students have been busy in their classrooms, workshops, on stage and on the field; and the staff who have led and supported them have forged great experiences and excellent outcomes with them.

Thank you to all parents for your support. We have engendered many opportunities for your sharing here at school, which have added to the sense of success through this term. The flurry of final events has been very energising.

We are pleased to announce the installation of signage for the Tom Corkhill Green Roof. There is directional signage of the 9Fl landing as well as a plaque on the 10FL roof top. These signs honour Mr Tom Corkhill’s contribution to the school in its establishment 27 years ago, and as Board Chairman 1998-1999; 2010-2018. Henceforth, we will be referring to the roof top garden area as the Tom Corkhill Green Roof.

The Festive Picnic on 3 December marks our celebration of the year and the season. I’m sure it will be enjoyed by all. Next week we have a spatially managed secondary speech day and numerous class-based celebrations and assembly gatherings to further mark the end of 2021. They will be an opportunity to say farewell to friends and staff who are leaving and show our gratitude for all that we have shared.

Best wishes to each and all for the holiday period and safe travels to those who are undertaking journeys.

Merry Christmas and thank you very much for a remarkable 2021 school year.

Howard West | Head of School
